At the cliff house, Taylor’s still worrying about what Sheila will do to Deacon. Over at their apartment, Sheila’s surprised to discover that Deacon didn’t leave while she showered. They debate whether Taylor or Deacon is to blame. Sheila decides she doesn’t care… she clutches his arm and pleads for him to fight for their marriage.
Over at the cliff house, they’re also playing the blame game… until Hope shows up. Steffy rolls her eyes as the blonde strides in and asks if Taylor’s seen Deacon. They break the news that Sheila found out.
Back at the apartment, Sheila puts on the full-court press in hopes of convincing Deacon that they belong together. All he’s worried about is her taking her anger out on Taylor. Sheila feels entitled to those feelings. Deacon sees that she’s changed, and is proud of her, but he’s in love with Taylor. “She’s the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
At the cliff house, Steffy rants about Deacon, but Hope argues it wasn’t a one-way street. Finn butts in to remind Hope that Sheila tried to kill Taylor before. Ridge grunts about Sheila dressing as a nurse, which means she’s volatile. Hope finds out about the pizza cutter incident and worries about her dad.
At the apartment, Deacon confirms to Sheila that this is what he really wants. She muses that his kids want this too. “Do they know?” she asks. Deacon’s expression tells her they do. Sheila cringes over her stupidity but can’t blame them for wanting him with a woman who’s not an embarrassment.
Pouring it on thick, Sheila laments that she’s done horrible things… Deacon could always see past that. Sheila asks him, again, to tell her it’s not over. Realizing he won’t, she announces she needs to leave before she does something she regrets. Deacon warns her about lashing out or retaliating. “Please, promise me.”
At the cliff house, Hope and Taylor want to go check on Deacon as the others protest. They go over the situation some more and Hope declares that her dad deserves someone like Taylor. Ridge picks that moment to apologize. He’s sorry that him going to Brooke pushed her into Deacon’s arms.
The Final Scenes
At the apartment, Deacon’s still warning Sheila about targeting anyone for revenge… especially Taylor. She says she won’t. She’ll accept his decision even though it hurts. She hopes her restraint will show him how much she loves him. Sheila will send for her things. She plants a goodbye kiss on him… and leaves.
At the cliff house, Taylor informs Ridge that he didn’t push her into Deacon’s arms, she went there willingly. We gotta say we love Taylor putting Ridge in his place.
Alone in the apartment, Deacon drifts around sighing and agonizing. Down in the restaurant, Sheila runs her hands along the bar and flashes through romantic memories with her husband. Taking a deep breath, she walks around and says, “I’ll be back. This isn’t over for us, Deacon.” With that, she turns out the lights.
