General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin and Nina Team Up to Bring Down Brennan

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of April 13-17 suggest Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will team up to bring down Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).

The ABC soap has recently released its weekly promo, and there’s an interesting scene that takes place that hints at an upcoming alliance between these two exes.

Nina is shown in a clip during the preview video, opening a door to a room. As she does this, she stops dead in her tracks when she sees Valentin.

Nina looks completely shocked to see her ex and WSB fugitive, while Valentin appears to be as cool as a cucumber, sipping a drink in his hand.

Valentin doesn’t look as if he was expecting Nina to come through the door, so it feels like he somehow organized this meeting, and he has a concrete agenda for it.

Valentin knows Nina, through and through. They are not only exes, but also share an amicable friendship, post-breakup.

Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) did overhear Nina with Brennan, as the WSB agent blackmailed her into getting intel on Valentin, and now doesn’t trust her.

With that said, Valentin understands how Nina’s mind works. He may also realize that Brennan has pushed Nina into a corner.

There’s a good chance he’s confident that if he can come up with a plan to protect Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) Nina will work with him to nail Brennan to the wall.

But let’s rewind a bit. Valentin originally aligned with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but as the blonde seems to be wavering in her feelings for Brennan and genuinely is starting to feel bad for betraying him, Valentin may feel as if he needs a plan B.

During the week of April 6-10, Brennan told Carly he placed his job on the line to get intel on Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) whereabouts.

The entire move softened Carly’s heart so much that she slipped between the sheets with him.

Valentin confronted Carly after the fact, and this is when she told him she realized how much Brennan loved her.

Carly and Valentin have both caught feelings for each other, but this doesn’t mean that Valentin isn’t starting to doubt Carly’s loyalty.

Valentin’s freedom is on the line here, so having a backup scheme is certainly in order. Valentin knows that Nina wouldn’t intentionally throw him under the bus.

He also knows that she’s fiercely protective of the ones she loves, and having a relationship with Willow has meant the world to her.

As Nina finally has what she’s always dreamed of, her agreement with Brennan to gather intel on Valentin’s whereabouts via Charlotte wasn’t a form of retribution toward her ex, but rather a “fight or flight” response to her and her daughter’s situation.

If Valentin can convince Nina to align with him so that Brennan is squashed, thus ensuring the surveillance street footage he has won’t be an issue for Nina or Willow, the Crimson Editor could be swayed to join forces with him.

Nina doesn’t want to hurt Valentin or Charlotte – all she wants is for Willow to be happy and worry-free of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting coming back to haunt her.

General Hospital spoilers suggest it’ll be interesting to see Valentin and Nina reunite under these circumstances; however, what will the fugitive’s plan for Brennan be, and will Nina agree to align with him?
