In the FC showroom, Electra and Will go over him not getting the letter. She’s sure everything would have been different if he’d only read it.
Electra explains that she left the letter in the design office for him. She thought he’d read it and left her a clear message that he wanted nothing to do with her. Bewildered, Will says he wouldn’t do that in a million years. She knows that now. Their chance was stolen from them. It’s time he read the letter.
Will reads the love letter and they recap that he didn’t get it when he was supposed to. She explains how much it hurt that he didn’t come to her. They establish that they never stopped loving each other.
After going over the details of when Electra left the letter, Will (finally!) tells her he asked Dylan to move out that day… but came back to Forrester and saw her kissing RJ.
Liar, Liar
In the main office, Ivy takes a meeting with Ridge, who tells her she’s a great mentor to Electra. She cryptically says she hopes it stays that way, and goes on about having to do things to protect her. Ridge correctly guesses there’s something going on.
Ivy rambles about guiding young people to positive life choices, finally coming out with it: Will’s not best for Electra. That’s Ridge’s son, RJ. Ridge warns her against interfering in someone’s life, as his late mother once did. Ivy denies doing any such thing, but hopes her niece chooses his son.
You Need to Go
In the design office, RJ dresses a dummy (not himself) as he works on the men’s line. Dylan delivers a box and senses something is bothering him. RJ stuns her by telling her that out of respect for Electra she should find a job elsewhere… and take Will with her. Dylan gawps at him.
Dylan closes the door and tells RJ she moved out of Will’s place, but he feels it’s too little, too late. Sounding like a broken record, RJ once again declares that Will should be out of Forrester and Electra’s life… for good.
Dylan doesn’t see that happening; they’ll probably work things out. RJ muses, “Unless they don’t.” He has a feeling she wants Electra out of Will’s life too. Warming to his theme, RJ muses, “I’m right, aren’t I, Miss Dylan?”
The Final Scenes
Dylan insists that she wants Will to be happy. RJ hopes Electra stays firm and doesn’t let that snake back into her life. Dylan protests: Will is not a snake! RJ knows she wants him for herself. “Admit it, Dylan. You want the same thing I do: Will and Electra apart.”
In the showroom, Will tells Electra he was gutted by seeing her kiss RJ. She protests that RJ kissed her. She was waiting for Will and heartbroken that he didn’t come. They’ve both been holding onto so much pain.
Electra laments, “If you had just read that letter.” Will doesn’t get it. Why didn’t he? Electra says somebody stole her letter, so he’d never see it. She’s been betrayed before, but she never thought this person was capable of doing this to us. “It was Ivy.” Will can’t believe it, but says it doesn’t matter. They know how they feel about each other. “Electra, I love you.” She gushes, “Will, I love you too.” They kiss as the music swells.
