Who Is Hudson? General Hospital Casts Troy Lennon Appel in a Suspicious New Role

General Hospital spoilers note that Troy Lennon Appel has been cast as “Hudson”, a brand new ‘sketchy’ character that is about to debut in Port Charles – and CDL has all the juicy details!

First things first, fans can expect Appel to debut on canvas during the Tuesday, July 30 episode. In a big twist, this is a contract role with the ABC soap, versus just a recurring one.

General Hospital spoilers say Hudson is a businessman with links to some shady individuals, so it’ll be interesting to see who Appel shares scenes with.

While “Hudson” marks Appel’s debut in the land of daytime drama, he’s got quite the acting resume, appearing in a number of movies in the past.

Fans may recognize him from roles in movies like Blackmail, Legally Blonde, Revenge Best Served Chilled, as well as Lies and Murder – just to name a few.

The actor has already begun shooting on General Hospital and seems to be enjoying his time on the soap opera already.

He told TV Insider, “Everyone (at GH) is very professional; They’re on top of every intricate part of this very established, well-oiled machine, and I’m just trying to keep up and not halt the process in any way.”

The news about Appel entering the canvas is just one of many new actors and actresses coming to the show this summer.

As fans may know, Dean Geyer is on the cusp of his first appearance, debuting another new character, Tristan Roberts, on Monday, July 13.

With a name like “Tristan Roberts”, the character is obviously a tribute to the iconic Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio for years on General Hospital.

Plus, there’s Kayden Brennan Tokarski’s debut in July as a SORASed Scout Cain recast, replacing Cosette Abinante.

In addition, Kelly Kruger, who played The Young and the Restless’ Mackenzie Brown, has been announced as the recast for Serena Baldwin.

The last actress in this role was Carly Schroeder from 1997 to 2001, as well as 2017.

General Hospital spoilers note a flurry of casting activity coming in July, as in addition to the above actors and actresses, pivotal characters Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are also set for a major return.
