DOOL Summer Shockers: Salem’s Biggest Secrets, Betrayals and Explosions Are Just Beginning

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that some major Salem curveballs are on the way.

As the temperatures get hotter, so will all the drama your favorite characters are forced to endure on Days.

Let’s start off this DOOL summer preview by discussing a recast.

It won’t be long until Jacob Martinez takes over the role of Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) since his first airdate will be June 30.

Over with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews), they’ll collaborate as DiMera Enterprises’ co-CEOs and try to fix the company’s negative reputation.

Unfortunately, Johnny will get swept up in the tainted drug investigation and may be forced to take his own father down in connection with it.

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) could face a serious betrayal if Johnny helps with his downfall.

Whatever the case, Johnny will indeed do some snooping after Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) ask for his assistance.

Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will be pleased if Johnny and EJ’s peace blows up, but she’s already working another angle when it comes to making her brother pay.

That’s because Kristen just reached out to Sydney DiMera as part of her manipulative plan.

Sydney is EJ’s beloved daughter and will end up back in Salem at some point – perhaps thanks to Kristen nudging her to come home.

Of course, once Sydney returns, Kristen may make it her mission to ruin her niece’s bond with EJ.

There’s no official news on who’ll be playing Sydney DiMera when she makes her big comeback, but it’s worth mentioning that Sydney Malakeh seems like a contender based on behind-the-scenes social media hints.

As for EJ, he’ll also face backlash over Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) drug experiment since Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) solution won’t stick.

Lexie seems doomed to suffer a grim fate once again and leave behind grieving loved ones.

Across town, Days spoilers say Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) will explode at Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) for keeping so many secrets about EJ’s twisted plans.

Cat will rush to her own defense since that was part of her ISA job.

It also looks like Kelsey Kiriakis (Lena and Mira Chase) may have a medical crisis in her future that could bring Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) together while Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) feels like an outsider.

Meanwhile, the chess set mystery will come with some surprises along with a key player who’s carrying out Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) wishes.

Although Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) is trying to stay positive about her pregnancy and cancer treatment, she has some difficult challenges coming up.

There’ll be an emergency where Chanel winds up bleeding and terrified for her baby.

Other Days spoilers say Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) will reenter the picture so Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) can push for an agreement that could benefit Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).

Next, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will profess her love for Brady, secretly remain drawn to Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and clash with EJ at the hospital.

Elsewhere, Arianna “Ari” Horton’s (Vico Escorcia) relationship with Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) may never be the same after she learns her mom wrote Liam Selejko (Hank Northrop) a hefty check to keep them apart.

As for Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), she’ll struggle with health issues, Amy Choi’s (Shi Ne Nielson) lawsuit and some wrongful drug accusations.

Holly and Tate’s romance could crumble once they’re faced with some tough obstacles.
