Sidwell Survives Sonny’s Deadly Hit — And His Revenge Could Be More Brutal Than Ever

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) will likely survive the hit plans Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has in store for him, so let’s talk about this interesting storyline angle as it unfolds.

The General Hospital preview for the week of June 1-5 shows a clip where Sonny and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) are attempting to recruit Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) into their plan to bring Sidwell down.

Of course, Sidwell is currently blackmailing the mob boss and Port Charles’s mayor thanks to some incriminating photos that show deceased PCU Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in the trunk of Laura’s car.

Before skipping town, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) offered Sonny a nice tidbit of information regarding Pascal (Marc Forget), and the fact that Sidwell’s ‘butler’ was the one who cleaned up Dalton’s murder.

Laura and Sonny deduced that if they could get Pascal to turn on Sidwell, then they could finally blow up the villains’ plans and gain the upper hand.

Lucas will be all in to help the two, but as Pascal hates the good doctor, he’s got an uphill battle ahead.

Regardless, the ultimate goal is not only to blow up Sidwell’s plan but eliminate him as a threat entirely.

It’s been mentioned multiple times over the course of months, with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) saying it before he left town, and more recently, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) suggesting it.

With help from Pascal, Sonny could infiltrate Wyndemere or hire Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to do so, and finally get rid of Sidwell so he never has to worry about him again.

Sidwell is as vile a villain to get.

While the man is entertaining to watch on canvas and is charming as heck, the fact that he has zero remorse when it comes to offing people and ruining their lives is more than disturbing.

With that said, he’s public enemy number one in Port Charles, and while Laura and Sonny’s plan may work to get from under Sidwell’s thumb, there’s no way they’ll be able to eliminate him.

Whether Sonny schemes to shoot the man or cause a car explosion (something along those lines with the help of possibly Brick and Pascal), Sidwell may get injured, but he won’t die.

Soap operas always need heroes and heroines to save the day in storylines, but they also need villains and villainesses to be the reason things go wrong.

Plus, it only seems right that WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) goes first, right?
