Curtis Is Arrested for Punching Isaiah, Whose Injuries Could End His Career — Plus, Joss Finds a Message From Anna!
Monday, May 18, 2026: Today on General Hospital, Laura gives Anna’s family troubling news about her, Isaiah’s hand is badly injured during his scuffle with Curtis, and Jonathan Bennett begins airing as Detective Joe Fitzpatrick.

At the Quartermaines’ place, Sonny stops by to see the baby and finds Gio practicing the guitar. Gio reveals he’ll be accompanying Trina to her showcase. Sonny is happy for him and knew he’d find his way back to music as it’s a big part of who he is.
Sonny decides to go check on the baby, but he knows Brook Lynn will take good care of Trina and him. Sonny asks if he’ll be home for dinner, but Gio says he’s going to Emma’s.
Who Does Jordan Blame for the Accident?
At Jordan’s, Jordan knows that with no proof against Isaiah, nothing can be done. She also wishes Curtis weren’t so insistent on fixing things because she’s the one responsible for the accident, and nothing can change what happened.
Laura Delivers Bad News
At the PCPD, Dante tells Mac that if he gets a call from the WSB about the investigation into the shooting, he should point them to Turner’s office.
Laura arrives to speak to the men with grave news about Anna, who is in bigger trouble than they thought. She fills them in, we don’t hear the news, and Mac suggests they go tell Felicia and Emma. Dante stays behind and tells them to let Anna know, when and if they see her, that her office is waiting for her when she returns.
Jonathan Bennett Joins the Show!
At the Metro Court Gardens, we see a replay of the altercation leading up to Curtis punching Isaiah, who falls to the ground. Portia screams, “What the hell is wrong with you? Are you insane?”
That’s when Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (played by Jonathan Bennett) and another officer in police blues arrive. They find Isaiah, Portia, and Jordan arguing, with Isaiah insisting he wasn’t the other driver.
Joe interrupts and asks what happened, and Portia tells him that Curtis punched Isaiah, and when he fell, he hurt his hand, so they need an ambulance. Joe places Curtis under arrest for assault.
What Kind of Cop is Joe?
Joe brings Curtis into the PCPD and tells Dante what happened earlier. Curtis insists to Dante that this is a misunderstanding. Dante says they’ll straighten this out, and when Dante uncuffs Curtis, Joe is shocked.
Dante takes Curtis into the interrogation room, where Curtis tells his side of the story, including blaming Isaiah for leaving them on the side of the road. Curtis believes he and Isaiah could have worked things out, but Joe was a little “too much” and had to get involved.
Curtis says he’ll apologize and cover Isaiah’s medical bills, and this whole thing can just go away. Unfortunately, Dante says they are past that. Curtis needs to call a lawyer and get someone to bail him out.
Meanwhile, Joe stews and asks another officer if Ashford could talk his way out of his arrest. It seems to Joe that Curtis is a powerful and popular guy around here.
Will Isaiah Be OK?
At the hospital, Isaiah’s hand is bandaged and on ice, and he’s in an exam room. Portia has paged the specialist, but Isaiah says he has at least seven broken bones from what he can tell,. He fumes, ” That bastard destroyed my hand!”
The specialist comes in and notes elven fractures from his X-ray. Isaiah also reports numbness, which the doctor isn’t surprised by. She says they need to do an MRI to decide if surgery is needed.
Portia apologizes to Isaiah, as she had no idea Curtis had this in him. Isaiah did, as this is who Curtis really is. Portia says he must admit he baited Curtis by saying he’d be a better father than him. Isaiah says he should have held his tongue, but Curtis just proved him right.
How Much Trouble is Curtis In?
Back at Jordan’s, she and Justine are still talking when Jordan gets the call from Curtis at the PCPD. She’s stunned by what he says and says she’ll take care of it. She immediately tells Justine about Curtis’ arrest. Jordan takes off, and Justine heads to see Sonny.
Back at the station, Dante asks Joe about what happened. He tells him that he didn’t see the fight, but Curtis admitted he punched Isaiah, and Portia said they needed an ambulance for Dr. Gannon. He goes on to say multiple witnesses spoke about the fight, and hearing Curtis mention a kid and something about Isaiah leaving him and Jordan to die. That’s when Jordan, in a full head scarf, arrives.
Emma Learns About Anna’s Condition
Felicia stops by Anna’s place and brings a cake, which is to accompany Emma’s first home-cooked meal for Gio. Emma goes to make some tea and flips out when she breaks a mug she made for Anna when Anna was ten years old, because it was her grandma’s favorite.
They clean up the broken mug, and Emma feels guilty that her life is going so well when her grandmother is locked away in a mental institution. Felicia assures her that Anna has only ever wanted for her to be happy, and she deserves to be happy.
Laura and Mac soon arrive, and Laura explains that Anna recently escaped the hospital and hijacked a car. She almost got to Switzerland before being caught. Laura says the French are transferring her to a facility for patients with long-term mental illness, one that specializes in difficult patients. Emma is broken by the news.
Laura says Robin and Patrick are on their way to France. Emma can’t believe this is happening, which is when Gio walks in. He sees he’s interrupting and offers to come back, but Emma runs into his arms and cries, “I need you.”
Gio sits with Emma, and Laura continues to explain Anna’s troubles. Emma fears her grandma will only grow worse in a maximum-security facility, and she’ll be convinced it’s Faison keeping her.
Nina and Ava Catch Up
At Bobbie’s, Nina meets with Ava, and the women basically catch each other up on what has been going on in their lives. Nina tells her about Jack’s stroke and that he can’t move or speak. Ava notes that’s what happened to Drew. Nina feels bad for Jack as he has no family support, especially after Carly dumped him.
Ava rants about her latest run-in with Sonny, Ric, and Sonny’s pathetic excuse of a bodyguard. She tells Nina how Sonny’s thug, Ethan, held her captive, and he tried to suggest she cultivate a relationship with him, but there is nothing trustworthy about Ethan.
Joss Fails to Play Mind Games with Cassius
In the secret room at Wyndemere, Cassius tells Joss that he’s doing what he can to keep her safe, and he could have disposed of her. Joss says nobody is forcing him to keep her here, and that he could turn her in to Cullum. Cassius warns her that the only reason she’s safe is that Cullum doesn’t know she’s here, but that could change.
Cassius asks why someone like her is working for the WSB. She jokes, “It was this or a podcast.” Joss eventually tells him that someone she loved was murdered and she wanted justice. She got retribution instead, and says she killed her loved one’s murderer. Joss says that getting her retribution gave her a new sense of purpose, and she owns her life and her choices; she blames no one else. She got herself into this current mess, and she’ll get herself out of it.
In The Show’s Final Moments
Nina and Ava finish catching up, and Nina decides she needs to return to the hospital to check on Jack.
Dante tells Jordan it’s good to see her, and he’s sorry it’s under these circumstances. He tells her Curtis is in integration, so she heads to see him.
Joe continues to talk to Dante and gets a little more information about the subjects in this case, including Isaiah’s role in the breakup of Curtis and Portia’s marriage.
In interrogation, Curtis tells Jordan it never should have come to this. Isaiah committed a crime, not him.
Justine tells Sonny about Curtis’ situation, and she doesn’t want to prosecute him as Jordan is already hurting enough.
The specialist, Dr. Sherman, tells Isiah that his injuries will need multiple surgeries. Not only does he have several broken bones, but two severed tendons. They’ll need to schedule multiple surgeries over a period to allow healing in between. It sounds like Isaiah’s surgical career could be over…
Emma asks Laura if Kevin can convince the authorities to put Anna somewhere safer where she can get help, but Mac says the French authorities won’t let this latest episode go. Emma won’t accept this, and Laura says she won’t either. Anna needs a strong advocate, and she thinks she knows who to call. It sounds like we are finally wrapping up this story and tackling Robert’s death.
Cassius finally says goodnight to Joss and locks her in. She immediately begins looking around and moves her cot. On the wall, she discovers a message from Anna that reads that she was taken captive and held there.
On the next episode of General Hospital, Curtis tells Jordan that Isaiah pushed him past his limits. Joe thanks Dante for the opportunity, but isn’t sure he’s the right fit. Danny and Charlotte question Rocco’s fear of someone, and ask what he has to do with them going to Wyndemere. Justine tells Sonny, “Sounds like motive to me.”
