Goodbyes are never easy, even when they’re ones you’re ready for! And while technically Marissa Reyes exited Days of Our Lives months ago due to the show’s shooting schedule, the actress is only now getting to look back on her farewell as her last airdate as Ari is this Thursday, March 26th. And boy is it a farewell!

Reyes shared a slew of videos from her wrap day on Instagram, “In honor of my final episode of Days of Our Lives airing this week.”

She shared that, “It has been an absolute honor to be a part of such a legacy, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for what this opportunity has taught and given me. Although it was my choice — and mine alone — to make my exit from the show, I will always look back on this chapter with complete and honest gratitude and affection.”

“It’s bittersweet to see the end of this chapter,” Reyes admitted in closing, “but I am over the moon excited to welcome in the next. Here’s to what’s coming!!”

The love from her former castmates poured out in the comments. While things between Holly and Ari are fraught onscreen, offscreen Ashley Puzemis, wrote to, “My soul sister for life now. The best thing this show brought me was our friendship and you truly are a star! Cheering you on for everything that will come your way!”

And though Liam and Ari are only just getting started onscreen (if her being a DiMera doesn’t derail things), Hank Northrop wrote, “You bring sunshine into every room and it was an absolute privilege and joy to work with you! I already know you’re a superstar but I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! Ari + Liam.”

And what would a farewell be without a loving note from “mom?” Cherie Jimenez (Gabi) wrote to her TV daughter, “My beauty. My soulmate. I love you forever.”

There’s no word as of yet as to who will be taking over the role, but we do know that she’ll begin airing in April — which is just a week away! We wish only the best for Reyes and can’t wait to see what she does next!
