Lani Comes Home As Gabi Learns Something Shocking About Theo — and Stephanie’s Keeping Secrets from Alex

Theo’s journaling away in public (Really? After telling Marlena you never wanted to journal because you were worried about someone reading it?), fantasizing and writing about Gabi — when she walks in and joins him.

Theo just tells Gabi that he had a sensory overload last night, but he’s fine. There’s just a lot going on, and now he’s worried he blew it with Jada. (Are you?) No, he’s not. He admits he really wasn’t that into her. And since Gabi’s Jada’s best friend (since when?), Theo asks how he can break things off.

“Just be honest and respectful.” Easy peasy. After declining again to talk about what else is going on, Theo thanks Gabi, gets up, walks away and leaves his journal wide open on the table under a menu to the part where he was writing about his steamy “G” dreams.

Stephanie and Jeremy Get Closer

Stephanie, still looking to be in shock, calls Jeremy over to the apartment to talk and tell him about flipping out at Alex. Jeremy calmly assures her that he, too, is a hot mess. (Not that we’ve seen!) Stephanie talks about the idea of kids again and brings up Joy Wesley last year. (And we know she’s back!) But he wasn’t ready to be a dad, and now that she’s not ready, he goes all man-pain on her.

Jeremy says Alex just doesn’t understand, but he’s also been reevaluating his life. In fact, he’s sticking around now. And if she’s worried about Alex finding out he was over and talking, neither of them need to say anything. For now, “I’m here if you need me, Steph.”

Chanel Gives Alex Advice

Alex pushes Trey up to Chanel, who’s set up a bakery table right in the middle of the square. He fills her in about his and Stephanie’s fight and the whole he wants kids, she isn’t sure if she does argument. Chanel tries to stop his “Is it me?” thing and insists that Stephanie’s still recovering. But he needs to talk to her, not Chanel!

She takes Trey and sends Alex back home (oh boy), but he’s completely missed Jeremy. He and Stephanie have both calmed down enough to talk things out about communicating and being there for each other. And no more surprise babies. (Right, Joy?) They get to cuddling on the couch, where Alex promises to give Stephanie all the time she needs to figure out what she needs. Right now, she needs him. You know: Needs him. They start getting their sexy back on and Steph leads them into the bedroom.

Rafe and Cat Guess the Wrong DiMera

Rafe fills Cat in on his new (wo)man on the inside, Kristen. Unfortunately, the “psychotic nutjob” didn’t find anything in the secret room. (And no one seems to think about the secret tunnels?!) He brings up Megan’s pods being used to revive the dead, so they figure, as Cat says, “Another dead DiMera is on their way back.”

They go through a list of dead DiMeras: Stefan, Jake — not Stefano, since he’s just bones — and… Abigail! That’s who Rafe lands on, which, you know, freaks Cat out. We can see why he landed on Abby, but yeah, no. At least, not yet.

In the Show’s Final Moments

As Chanel’s trying to calm Trey down, Lani walks up and surprises her! She and the twins came back early while Eli ties up loose ends. And Paulina’s Lani’s next stop! Lani’s overjoyed for her sister and her new family, but before Chanel can tell her how the pregnancy is really going, Theo joins the family fun! Or rather, he’s about to, then realizes he left his journal. Run, Theo!

Jeremy gets home to learn from Julie that Lani and the twins made a surprise entrance. She’s just filled with light and love and reminisces about how much Doug loved Jules and Carver. Alone, he calls his dad and asks for a phone number. Oooh, whose? (Forget guessing, we already know!) And Cat’s out in the square when she spots Charlotte.
