Marlena Gets Ruthless With Xander and Chanel’s Doctor Visit Takes a Bad Turn
Tuesday, June 2, 2026: Today on Days of Our Lives, Marlena extorts Xander, Sarah tries helping a new patient and Chanel and Johnny have a rough doctor visit.

Marlena’s holding the coin she found at John’s grave when Chanel and Johnny arrive at the hospital for her appointment. Johnny breaks the cancer news to his grandmother when Chanel heads to the bathroom.
Will Chanel’s Doctor Help or Hurt?
They head in to their appointment with Dr. George, who comes in cold and distant and gets an earful about Chanel about how she’s a person, not a disease. His bedside manner sucks as he lays out how straightforward this is. She’s getting chemo, done, boom, moving on.
Chanel tries being understanding that he’s super busy, then pulls out her own research and cuts to the heart of implicit bias: “Black women with breast cancer have a 38% higher mortality rate than white women.” The doc continues being a total disinterested creep, until Chanel has it: “This is my life, my body, my future, so don’t you dare treat me like I don’t matter!”
Dr. George tells her to get off the internet and calm down (Can somebody slap this man?), then walks out saying to make arrangements to begin chemo.
Is Marlena Going Too Far?
Marlena summons Xander to her office to have a chat. A blunt one. She’s been doing a lot of thinking about John. He was close to Johnny, Xander and Kate have been railroading the young man, and she’s decided it’s time to walk away from Xander — unless he drops the lawsuit. (Ooh, a little blackmail. This is why doctors aren’t supposed to treat patients they know, folks!)
Marlena says that despite Xander’s progress, he has to take responsibility for his actions. Owning up and fixing things are two different things. He can fix this. So do it. Or they’re toast. He points out that this is extortion, but Marlena’s in her “don’t give a bleep” phase. Xander then says that if he does get Kate to go along and this gets out, Roman will never forgive her. “Not my concern,” Marlena smiles. So. Done.
Kate and Joy Have Problems
Alex brings Kelsey to meet her grandfather at the Kiriakis mansion, and Justin goes crazy over her. Then Bonnie shows up and rushes right over — to talk about her book and the lawsuit! (She does coo over Kelsey for a hot second.) She feels very bad about what happened, but she didn’t mean to plagiarize! Alex and Justin are totally in her corner, but Xander’s not budging.
Over at the pub, Kate joins an anxious Joy, who’s worried about leaving Kelsey with Alex. She is slightly comforted that Stephanie isn’t there wishing Kelsey didn’t exist. She’s just tired of feeling like the bad guy — which Kate assures her she’s not. Roman stops by and gets snapped at by Kate, so he runs off for a second, then comes back to pull Kate aside.
He insists needs to apologize. (Ya really don’t, Roman.) And he promises to fight tooth and nail for her if she says she didn’t set up Johnny. (Which she did.) Alex, meanwhile, brings Kelsey to a relieved Joy in the pub, but before they make the next meeting time, he’s got to talk to Stephanie — which doesn’t sit well with Joy.
What’s Wrong With Sarah’s Patient?
Sarah meets a new patient — Destiny, who you can find more about here — who’s dizzy and nauseous and very obviously unwell. She’s been throwing up and mentions taking some sort of mystery prescription pain killers she found in the medicine cabinet and threw out. That gets Sarah’s worried attention, but she runs some tests.
In the end, Sarah figures it’s a stomach bug and suggests resting and drinking liquids. Destiny just wants Sarah to do something to help her, accuses Sarah of not caring and runs out.
In the Show’s Final Moments
Marlena and Xander continue out by the nurses’ station, until Sarah scares him off. They talk a bit about John, and Marlena invites her to the family dinner. Johnny and Chanel join them, shaken, and Marlena and Sarah acknowledge that while Dr. George is one of the best breast cancer doctors, “even the best can mess up the human part.” (Yeah, that was a bit more than “messing up.”) Whatever, Chanel’s not doing chemo. End of story.
A short time later, Sarah runs into Destiny out in the square, who collapses before her eyes. Xander rushes over and catches her, but Sarah can’t get a pulse! (Well, that was quick.)
