Phyllis Drops a Warning On Matt — and Victoria Breaks Down In Fear For Nikki

At Shadow Room, Noah is chatting with his bartenders when Audra comes in. She flirtily tells Noah she couldn’t stay away.

Noah pulls up a barstool and Audra pumps him up, noting he’s still modest. They talk about their past and she urges him to take his kudos… he deserves all the success. As she touches his hand, Sienna appears and narrows her eyes knowingly.

Sienna walks over to claim Noah and brings up the old Shadow Room. Noah gets called away and Audra snaps at Sienna to save the Los Angeles comments. Sienna wonders why she gets so tense over it. Audra complains about her putting Noah in harm’s way again… she knows her monstrous ex is in town. Sienna warns her to back off.

Audra keeps on the older woman for putting Noah in harm’s way. He’s too good for her. Sienna needles that Audra drove him away. Audra thinks Sienna is holding her breath wondering when he’ll walk away. Sienna’s not falling for her games and warns that whatever she wants from Noah, she won’t get it. He’s not interested. Noah pops up, “Not interested in what?”

Audra tells Noah that Sienna thinks she came there with ulterior motives. She hopes Noah is careful around Matt. Noah appreciates her not discussing it with anyone. Audra bids them goodnight as Holden walks in. He confronts Audra about making trouble. She just can’t help herself, can she?

Afraid

At the Club, Claire asks Victoria if Nikki is OK. Her grandmother didn’t respond to her text and she’s worried that stress is triggering MS symptoms. Victoria sighs that her mother just found out about Chancellor and she’s worried about Jack, who has his own issues. Claire wonders if they could nudge Nikki and Victor back together.

Sitting, Victoria and Claire discuss the separation.Claire can’t understand how one fight has undone everything. Victoria frowns that the stress is eating away at her mom, but stops herself from saying more. Claire leans in, “If something is wrong with grandma, you need to let me know.”

Victoria caves and tells Claire that Nikki is having terrible headaches and blurred vision. Claire realizes her mother is scared. Victoria admits seeing her brave and strong mom in so much pain makes her wonder how much more she can take. What happened to Cole is a reminder that they have to be careful. Victoria, crying, says she wants answers now. She’s so afraid and can’t think about a world without her mother in it. Claire hugs her.

Victoria asks Claire if she wants to get snacks on the way home, but learns she has plans with Holden. Claire offers to cancel, but Victoria doesn’t want her to do that. She looks happy, even Kyle has admitted it. That said, she urges her not to get bogged down in looking too far ahead.

The Red Bomber

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis eavesdrops as Cane questions Matt Clark, asking, “What’s Victor’s agenda, Matt?” Matt insists his admiration is sincere. Cane, smirking, asks for his background. Matt lies that he used to work on Adam’s mom’s farm in Kansas. Phyllis’ eyebrows fly up into her hair as Matt spins a yarn about losing his dad and reaching out to Adam.

Cane shrugs that he seems like a nice enough guy, he just laid it on so thick. Matt adopts an “aw, shucks” demeanor and admits he’s looking for a job… a life. Cane suggests he ask Adam or Victor for advice. Matt argues that Cane knows what it’s like to lose his dad and carry on. Phyllis decides to interrupt and muses, “Look at this! What are you two doing together?”

Matt tells Phyllis that Cane is a legend. She rants on about Aristotle Dumas and wonders if he’s getting trade secrets. Matt admits it’s awkward because he’s a family friend of the Newmans. Cane says, “Adam introduced us,” and wonders if Phyllis thinks it’s a little convenient.

Phyllis can understand why Cane is suspicious of someone connected to Victor, but Matt seems low risk. They explain they met previously at the Club. Cane recalls seeing them there and this sets his radar off again. He tells Matt when he’s ready to be honest they can meet again, and walks out. Phyllis asks Matt, “What do you want with Cane?”

Matt thanks Phyllis for not outing him. She admits she spoke to Victor and warns that Cane can sense what he’s up to. This little song and dance will bite him in the ass. Matt scoffs at her caring. Phyllis says he saved Nick’s life; she’ll never forget that. “Victor’s using you.” He’s taking advantage of him trying to make amends and will stab him in the back.

The Final Scenes

At Shadow Room, Sienna complains to Noah about Audra’s magnetic pull on him and every other man. She thinks she wants him back and will do whatever it takes to remind Noah of what they had in London.

Across the room, Audra tells Holden that Sienna is the problem, not her. Holden thinks she wants to get burned again. Audra coos, “Aw,” is he looking out for her as a buddy, or something more? As she’s flirting and asking why he cares so much about what she does, Claire walks up. “I was going to ask the same question.”

Audra and Claire snark pleasantries and the brunette says she’ll tell her what she told Sienna: she’s not a threat. With that, she stalks out. Claire questions Holden being friends with Audra. He thinks Noah shouldn’t shrug this off… he has no idea how far Audra will go to get what she wants. Claire muses, “But you do.”

At the bar, Noah and Sienna express their love and kiss. Audra stops to observe and then leaves. Claire and Holden watch. Claire narrows her eyes and asks him, “Why do you care so much about what Audra does or doesn’t do?”

At Crimson Lights, Matt reminds Phyllis that she manipulated him too. She shrugs it off. It was different then. Now she knows he’s not a maniac. Matt replies, “Are you sure about that,” and walks away. She follows and says she is sure about that… he saved Nick’s life. She warns him about Victor again. If he doesn’t accomplish what he’s asking him to do, it’s over.
