Ethan meets Sonny in his office and has been following Ric all day. He says Ric met up with Ava again, and they are at Ava’s gallery right now, just the two of them.
Sonny fumes that Ric is slipping and failing to cover his tracks. If Ric is in bed with Ava, who is in bed with Sidwell, it means his brother is out to get him. Sonny needs to confront his brother tonight, as he must know why he’s involved with Ava and Sidwell.
Who Are Ric and Ava Meeting?
At Ava’s gallery, Ric holds a briefcase and is a nervous wreck. Ava assures Ric that “he” will be here, and she always comes through.
They argue about their past and how their previous blackmail scheme fell apart. Ric tells Ava in the end that she still walked away with her divorce settlement, and tonight, she’ll be getting another hefty injection of cash. Ava gets a text and says, “He’s here!”
The transaction is made, we never see who “he” is, and Ric hands Ava an envelope of money. That’s when Sonny and Ethan walk in!
Will Nina Betray Valentin or Jack?
At Carly’s, she tells Valentin that she doesn’t want to leave her daughter’s life in Nina’s hands, as she doesn’t trust her, and neither should he! Valentin thinks he should have seen Jack using Joss to retaliate against Carly, so he grabs a gun and says he’ll make this right.
At Willow’s, Nina is a wreck because Jack is on the way, so she must give Drew his dose before the agent gets here, as Willow said he’s overdue. She then realizes she left the syringe in the living room after wheeling Drew into the bedroom.
Nina runs out, grabs it, and rushes back into the bedroom with the syringe. She doesn’t know how Willow does it, and when Drew gives her puppy-dog eyes, it gets to her. Before she can give him his dose, the doorbell rings.
Nina stuffs the syringe under a toy truck in the living room and lets Jack in. He asks what she has for him on Valentin. Nina says she asked him here to discuss his arrangement with Willow, and asks what dirt he can get them on Drew.
Jack feels she needs to worry about their deal, not his with Willow’s. As they bicker, Drew listens in from the other room. Jack reveals his superior has taken over his office, and he can’t make waves regarding getting dirt on Drew right now. Nina freaks and says that since he can’t help her or Willow, he needs to leave Port Charles now! Jack is confused why she wants him to go.
That’s when Valentin appears, gun drawn, and tells Nina he was warned he shouldn’t trust her. He tells Jack it’s time to get down to business.
Jack can’t believe Nina betrayed him, but she says she had no choice, as Valentin knows about their deal. Valentin orders Jack to hand over his gun, which he does, and then asks where he sent Joss. Jack says he didn’t send Joss anywhere, and is clearly concerned if something has happened to her. Valentin says that if that is true, it means he’s useless to him.
Jack says if something happened to Joss, Valentin will need him to help find her. Valentin doesn’t, as he’s got a new partner he likes working with. Jack lunges at Valentin, and they begin to brawl as Nina screams, “Stop!”
Felicia Meets with Lucas and Carly
Lucas and Felicia have dinner at Café Cherie, and of course, Carly’s name comes up. That’s when Lucas gets a text from Carly asking where he is. Felicia tells Lucas to invite his sister.
Carly soon arrives, and Lucas and Felicia note she doesn’t look like herself. She says she and Jack are done, and knows they both warned her about him. Felicia says she knows first-hand what it’s like to be hurt by someone whose first allegiance will always be to the WSB. Felicia decides to leave the siblings to chat.
Alone, Lucas guesses Jack found out she was cheating. She says he did, and Lucas assures her it wasn’t from him. Carly says if Lucas didn’t tell anyone, how did it get back to Joss?
Liz and Dante Connect the Dots to Rocco
At the PCPD, Liz arrives to meet Dante and learns the blood on the gun didn’t match Cullum’s sample. They go over the facts of the shooting, and believe someone else had to be on the pier that night, and one or all of them (Britt, Jason and Cullum) are lying about what happened.
Dante thinks Jason is covering for someone, as he wouldn’t make a rookie mistake and get a slide-bite from a gun. Liz believes she knows who, as she treated a slide-bit the night of the shooting. She admits she didn’t report this injury as she was doing a favor for a friend. Dante asks who it was, and she admits it was Rocco.
The nurse tells him that Lulu brought Rocco in, claiming he had cut his hand in the kitchen, which Dante knew about. She knew it wasn’t a knife cut, but she had no context for what really happened until later. Dante realizes it makes sense as Jason would take the fall for Sonny’s grandson.
Liz didn’t tell him earlier as she didn’t want to get Rocco in trouble or put him in this position. He assures her this isn’t on her, and he feels he’s failed as a father.
“Nathan” Pushes Lulu Too Far
“Nathan” arrives at Lulu’s and says she must send Rocco away as Cullum is out of the hospital. He knows Jason didn’t shoot him and is protecting someone. It won’t take Cullum long to trace this back to Rocco.
Lulu says sending her son away will only cause more damage, but “Nathan” asks if she really thinks Rocco can keep this secret much longer? Lulu can’t say what her son will do, but sending him away by himself is not the answer. “Nathan” suggests she go with him, and they go to Ireland and visit Kevin and Ace. She says Dante won’t allow that, and there is also Charlotte to consider.
Lulu promises that if Cullum finds out the truth, she’ll take Rocco and run. But it’s not necessary yet. “Nathan” warns her that she’s making a mistake, but she says he’s made mistakes by repeatedly lecturing her about how to handle her child. She says she will not send Rocco away. “Nathan” says he can’t protect them then, and he thought she was smarter than this.
In The Show’s Final Moments
Dante feels the guilt must be eating his son alive. Dante then realizes his son likely isn’t alone, that Britt must know what happened, and Lulu must know. He wonders how Lulu could lie to him about this.
At her home, Lulu can’t believe “Nathan” is calling her stupid and tells the detective that she knows how to protect her son, and he considers himself removed from the situation. “Nathan” says, “Your son, your secret, I won’t do anything to change that.” He then walks out.
At the cafe, Carly tells Lucas that Joss has been against her and Jack since the beginning. Lucas asks if Jack is really worth tanking her relationship with Joss. Carly says of course not, and she needs to find her daughter and make things right.
At Willow’s, Drew listens from his room as the men fight in the other room. Nina finally grabs the syringe, runs at the men, and plunges it into Jack’s back. She’s horrified by what she’s done…
Finally, Ric is shocked to see Sonny and Ethan walk into Ava’s gallery, and asks what his brother is doing here. Sonny pulls out a gun and says Ric told him he could trust him, and now he’s betrayed him again! Sonny says this is the last time!
On the next episode of General Hospital, Valentin asks Nina what’s in the syringe. Drew begins to move his fingers. Ethan takes Ava off to his car, and she wonders what he will do to her, as Ric and Sonny argue. Lulu asks Dante if he has evidence that Rocco shot Cullum.
