Steffy Puts Hope’s Line on Hold — and Katie Informs Brooke That She’s Yesterday’s News

At Logan, Katie’s still seeking validation from Brooke, asking for her respect and congratulations.

Brooke argues that it feels wrong when it came at Eric’s expense. His hard work was poached. Stolen designs under a stolen name! Katie’s eyes roll back in her head. She won’t argue, but still persists in asking Brooke to be her sister for a moment. She shouldn’t need her approval, but she knows how much it would mean to her. Brooke grits, “Congratulations.”

Katie erupts because she can tell Brooke doesn’t really mean it. She doesn’t mean a word of it! Katie wants her sister to be happy for her for real! Her congratulations were laced with derision and sarcasm. She wants to squash her, her pride and her self-esteem. To drive her stiletto right into her heart!

Forrester vs. Logan… or Spencer

Over at Forrester, Hope’s in the design office on the phone with Liam, congratulating him on their success and extending the accolades to Katie as well.

Liam disconnects from Hope as Bill bursts into the office with a bottle of champagne and hollering about his wife, the great Katie Logan! Liam looks amused as Bill chortles about how proud he is of his wife right now.

Liam and Bill go over how the Forresters treated Katie. Bill knows she’s hurt that no one showed up to cheer her on. He warns Liam that Hope better watch her back over there. Liam nods… she’s now a Spencer.

Back at Forrester, Eric’s griping to Ridge in the main office. He’s ashamed, but Ridge tries to make him feel better. He’s the one ashamed… for making him feel unwelcome at his own company. Carter and Daphne happen along and talk up Eric’s designs. The elder Forrester keeps beating himself up. Ridge shrugs that Logan will be a one-hit wonder.

Meanwhile Steffy stops in on Hope. She asks if Liam invited her to the victory party to celebrate what her aunt did to her grandfather. She rants about the situation for a bit, saying Logans are selfish.

The pair bicker for a while about Eric and Hope says his designs were Logan’s property. Steffy asks if she’s saying she condones what Katie and Bill did. Hope doesn’t want to argue… she understands why Steffy’s upset, but she’s not involved in her aunt’s business. She works there… where she’s been waiting for the green light on her latest line. Steffy announces they have to put all of their resources into couture.

The Final Scenes

Hope can’t believe Steffy is doing this again. Steffy insists it’s just a delay. Hope pleads her case, but Steffy’s not budging. She tells the blonde it’s not personal; she has to do what’s best for Forrester.

In the Logan office, Liam offers to go get Katie, but Bill wants to let her take time to soak it in. Liam makes noises about Bill and Katie being fashion’s next supercouple, but Bill, uncharacteristically, wants to stay in the background. He just hopes Katie gets what she wants and needs from Brooke.

In the showroom, Brooke and Katie are into the raised voices. Brooke compliments Eric’s designs, but asks Katie what she’ll do now that he’s back where he belongs. “You have nothing.” Katie scoffs. She has a fashion house and employees! Her sales are through the roof!

Katie tells her sister she’s done what evens he didn’t… she created a fashion house. Eric’s gone, but Logan’s there to stay. Brooke puts on her doubtful face. Katie marvels that she’s doing what she always does… belittling her. She may be younger, but she’s not less than. “Be careful and be warned because there’s a new game in town.” The new fashion queen is on the rise. “You’re yesterday,” Katie tells Brooke. The Logan they’re talking about now is Katie.
