The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Tricks Matt, Uses Victor’s Own Spy Against Him?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may have an opportunity to turn the tables on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who’s decided to use Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) as part of his vengeful scheme.
Matt isn’t exactly enthusiastic about doing shady things for Victor since he’d much rather be turning over a new leaf.
However, Matt knows he has no choice but to cooperate if he wants to repay his debt to the Newmans and stay out of the slammer.
That’s why Matt’s agreed to make Cane his buddy and become a treasured ally.
Matt’s supposed to infiltrate Cane’s world and become a big enough part of it to score important intel.
Victor can take the information that Cane reports and use it to bring him down – at least that’s what he’s counting on.
That said, Cane is inevitably going to have questions when Matt starts trying to push for a friendship.
It could lead to Cane investigating with Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) help.
Holden might be willing to do some digging if Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) requests it too since there could be a threat to Chancellor, which Cane has agreed to run for her.
Then again, it could be Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) who nails down what’s going on and alerts Cane to save Matt from Victor’s manipulation.
Regardless, it may be Cane who ends up manipulating Matt instead!
Y&R fans can surely imagine Cane feeding Matt specific info that he wants Victor to know.
It could be bogus or misleading somehow if Cane tries to make Victor’s spy games work in his favor.
Cane might make sure Matt reports wrong intel so Victor’s revenge plot will fail.
It could even lead to Cane luring Victor into some sort of vengeful trap of his own.
Since Matt isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed these days, he may get duped and inadvertently become part of Cane’s payback.
Cane could switch things up on Victor and use Matt to his own advantage depending on where this story goes from here.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Cane may be smarter than Victor gives him credit for, so stay tuned for any bad news that might be brewing.
