Molly and Cody arrive at the hospital for her follow-up. As they wait, she gets news that her editor has approved her final manuscript.
Is Molly Cancer Free?
Dr. Navaro arrives, and Molly heads into her appointment. The doctor tells her there are no signs of cancerous cells or endometrial regrowth. Navaro does a quick exam, and everything looks good and clears Molly for all normal activities, which includes sex.
Molly heads out to the hall and tells Cody everything is good, and he says they need to go celebrate. They head out together.
Cody and Molly later meet at Café Cherrie to celebrate, and Molly says she feels like a brand-new woman.
Why Is Ethan In Town?
At Sonny’s, Kristina is surprised when Ethan turns up on her dad’s doorstep. She invites him in, and they quickly catch up on all things. Kristina recalls how he was her hero during the Kiefer mess and how she had the biggest crush on him. He recalls wishing she were five years older. While she’s older now, her type has changed. Ethan has kept up and saw her and Blaze all over social media. She says she’s single now, and while he may not be her type, she is glad to have him as a friend.
Kristina soon asks about him and why he’s in town. Ethan says he misses the people he cares about. Plus, he also thought Sonny could provide him with some steady work. He knows about Jason’s sudden exit, and Kristina says right now, it’s important for her dad to be surrounded by people he trusts. As Luke’s kid, that includes him.
Valentin Tells Carly His Latest Plan
Valentin walks into Carly’s kitchen, and she immediately asks where he’s been. He tells her about his meeting with Nina, who has a reason to work with him to bring Jack down. He doesn’t tell her much more, but does say he kept Carly’s name out of it. Jack believes Nina is his coerced informant, and she’s going to feed him only what he wants Jack to know.
Carly doesn’t like it, he could get caught, and Nina can’t be trusted. Valentin disagrees and lays out his plan. He reveals he’s going to have Nina tell Jack about a place he and Charlotte meet up at, and he’ll lead him there and into a trap. This is an opportunity to bring Jack down that they can’t pass up.
Willow Makes a Threat
At Crimson, Willow tells Michael to keep Jacinda away from their kids from now on. Confused, Michael asks where this is coming from. Jacinda explains that Willow is upset that she helped Wiley with his project. Willow states she doesn’t want sex worker Jacinda near their kids, just like he didn’t want Drew near them.
They all end up shouting at one another, and Michael explodes that Jacinda is honest with him, which Willow could never be. He says she lied under oath about him and made everyone think he shot Drew. Willow warns Michael to keep Jacinda away from their kids, or he’ll regret it. With those words, she storms out.
Michael apologizes to Jacinda for Willow, but she thinks she could have handled it better. Michael is glad she stood up for herself to his ex. However, he’s the one who messed up and lost his cool with Willow when he needed to play the long game. He confides in Jacinda that he needs to find something to use against Willow should she try to take him back to court. Jacinda thinks she knows just the thing.
Why Does Nina Hire Ric?
Ric stops by Nina’s place, and she informs the lawyer she’d like to hire him. He asks what trouble he is in, but she says it’s for someone else. She needs him to prepare a defense, particularly a battered woman’s defense. Ric quickly assumes this is about Willow, and Nina says she wants him to look into how Willow’s Dawn of Day experience could factor into a battered woman’s defense.
Ric notes Willow was already found innocent, and whether she did or didn’t shoot Drew is moot now, as double jeopardy exists. He quickly realizes the shooting isn’t what she’s talking about. Nina confirms it’s not. Ric says if Willow has done anything to Drew since the trial, the former charges can still be used against her to show a pattern.
Ric also notes that if she believes her daughter will commit a violent act and doesn’t do anything to stop it, she could be charged as being complicit. Nina claims she has no knowledge of Willow’s intent to harm Drew, so Ric immediately fears this is about Michael. Nina states it’s not, as Willow and Michael have made peace.
That’s when Willow walks in and tells Ric, “You’re Michael’s lawyer these days, tell him I’m coming for him and his hooker girlfriend!” She then heads to a bedroom and slams the door.
Ric leaves, and Willow appears and tells her mother about Wiley spending time with Jacinda, how she doesn’t know what is in Jacinda’s shady past, and she won’t let her kids be exposed to the depravity she was at Dawn of Day.
Nina tries to assure Willow that Jacinda would not harm her children and seems very fond of them. Still, Willow is determined to protect them and threatens to take Michael back to court. Nina warns her that if she does, she’ll lose everything.
Alexis and Sonny Discuss Danny
Sonny and Alexis meet at his restaurant to discuss Danny’s desire to join the mob. He assures Alexis he’d never bring his children or grandchildren into his business, and that extends to Jason’s and her family. She thanks him, but fears Danny won’t stop trying to get revenge for his father.
Sonny proposes a solution, at least for now. He suggests she use Scout against Danny, noting that if he gets in trouble, he won’t get to see Scout, who needs him. Alexis says it’s actually a good idea. She asks him not to send Ric to talk to her in his place in the future, and doesn’t understand why he’s hired a lawyer who has no ethics.
That’s when Ric walks in and notes, “That stings.” Sonny asks, “What happened to everyone getting along?” Alexis fears Ric will end up knee-deep in Sonny’s darker affairs, and what that will do to their daughter and her legal reputation. Sonny tells Alexis he’s confident Molly won’t suffer any blowback, and they have somewhere they need to be right now. Alexis sees herself out.
In The Show’s Final Moments
At the café, Cody and Molly toast to the future, and Molly suggests that rather than a celebratory dinner, they go back to his place to celebrate. Cody gulps his drink down.
Ric and Sonny return home, and Sonny is surprised to see Ethan. Ric, however, seems suspicious.
Valentin tells Carly that this plan to take Jack down will work. Carly says in the meantime, he needs to get back to the attic. But first, she surprises him with the razor she got him. He says, “Gee, thanks,” and walks off.
At Crimson, Jacinda tells Michael about her meeting with Brennan, who, in return for getting him information on Valentin through Charlotte, said he would give her something Michael would find very useful against Willow.
Finally, Nina warns Willow that if she goes back to court, it could come out that she’s being controlled by Sidwell, that she’s drugging Drew, or that there are witnesses to her shooting her drugged-up husband. Willow says her mom is right, that court is out, so she’ll have to find another way to deal with Michael…
On the next General Hospital, Curtis is upset to learn that Isaiah was at one of Portia’s exams. Jordan screams at someone to get out of her room. Ric tells Sonny that Ethan could be here to infiltrate his organization.
