Young & Restless Shocker: [Spoiler]’s Desperate Move Will Cause All-Out Chaos — Here’s How

As Nick kinda’ fondly noted during his conversation with Victoria on Wednesday’s episode of Young & Restless, “Phyllis is gonna Phyllis.” Indeed, she is… and has… and her latest move? It’s going to upend everything.
Phyllis is well aware that Matt Clark is the ultimate bargaining chip when it comes to negotiating with the Newmans, which is why she was so keen to stop him from leaving the suite at the Athletic Club, and Genoa City. But he became so insistent on packing up and hitting the road that it left her with no choice but to hit him.
Despite knowing exactly who Phyllis was dealing with, it almost broke our hearts a little. Amnesia Matt was such a likeable fellow! It sorta’ gave us a glimpse into the person Matt might have been had something along his journey not turned him dark and twisted. Alas, he’s still an attempted murderer and rapist, which is why Phyllis’ impulsive actions will result in absolute chaos.
It’s Soap Opera 101: A bump on the head may give you amnesia, but a subsequent whack will bring your memories back. If that proves true in this case, Phyllis is about to find herself dealing with a whole other animal. One not so agreeable and easy to manipulate. In fact, as Sharon predicted, she may have put herself in the position of becoming Matt’s next victim, given he’s not likely to stay tied up and at her mercy for long.
If our hunch is correct and Matt reverts back to his old, evil self, any number of people could be in danger. Starting with Nick, who may be on is way to make the exchange with Phyllis. If Nick shows up in a rage, he could actually kill Matt Clark, which definitely qualifies as “chaos causing” given the Newmans will blame Red and Nick could end up on trial for murder. Never a dull day for Christine!
Of course, Nick may hit a roadblock on his way to Phyllis’ suite, given how determined Victoria was to confront him about his drug habit, which would leave Phyllis to deal with Murderous Matt on her own. After her stint in captivity at the hands of Martin Laurent, Clark turning the tables on her could be catastrophic indeed.
There’s also the possibility that Matt will simply escape and begin terrorizing the Newmans anew. If Nick’s locked up in a rehab by then, it’s not looking good for the likes of Noah, Sienna and Sharon, who will be sitting ducks.
Even Patty could be in danger given that she befriended Amnesia Matt and isn’t likely to realize she’s aiding and abetting an unreformed psychopath if he uses her to his advantage. Trust us, chaos is about to be afoot!
