Cane’s Offer Leaves Lily Gobsmacked — and Matt Welcomes Sharon and Noah to Hell

At Crimson Lights, Claire joins Holden, who’s head is still spinning over the recent revelations. He doesn’t know where to go from here.

Holden opens up about feeling he’s let Malcolm down. Claire reminds him he has no control over not being a match. He confesses he bought two baseball gloves and a ball. It’s crazy, but he’s always wanted to play catch with his dad. Claire gets it and reminds him he still has time with Malcolm if he wants it.

Talk turns to Stephanie. Holden’s pissed at her for keeping this secret. He wants to escape all of this and asks Claire to join him for lunch. Claire agrees, so they head to Society… where they encounter Stephanie.

Claire drags Holden over and introductions are made. Stephanie quickly learns that Claire is dialed in on her secret. She apologizes to Holden again and thanks Claire for being there for her son. After Stephanie takes off, Holden tells Claire his mom’s heart is in the right place.

Gobsmacked

At the outdoor café, Cane hears Lily on the phone with Malcolm assuring him they’ll find a match. After she disconnects, he asks if Malcolm’s sick. Lily chastises him for eavesdropping and tries to leave, but he pressures her to let him help.

Lily thanks Cane for offering to help. Ashby says he’d do anything for her. She marvels at him being nice to her after what she did. Her ex doesn’t care about the past… she’s sad and scared and he’s there for her. Lily cries and he asks what Malcolm needs.

Lily fills in Cane on Malcolm’s aplastic anemia and the increasingly desperate search for a donor. Cane blurts, “I’ll do it. I’ll get tested. For you.” It’s a long shot but it can’t hurt to try. Lily is blown away.

Cane assures Lily he’s not doing this to win her over, although he wants that. It’s about doing something good for someone who deserves it. He also hopes it will help heal her regret over not being able to save her father. Lily marvels at him knowing she felt that.

Stephanie arrives, having been summoned by Lily, and she explains that Cane is a potential donor. Stephanie calls to arrange testing and Ashby goes off to the lab.

High Rollers

In Vegas, Nick fondles his baggie of fentanyl in the bathroom and then opens it and, grimacing, swallows one. In the room, Adam leaves Sharon a message that Matt Clark took their phones. If she gets a message, it’s from him. She tells her to stay in Genoa City where it’s safe. Unfortunately, Sharon and Noah are in the car, out of range, and headed to where Matt told her to go. Noah has a bad feeling that if they’re playing vigilante, his dad and Adam could end up suffering in the end.

Back in the hotel washroom, Nick hollers to a concerned Adam that he’s good and will be out in a minute. Meanwhile, someone knocks at the suite door… it’s Riza. Chelsea asks what she’s doing back there. She wants an update and Adam gives her one. They grill her about Matt, but she hasn’t heard from him. Chelsea accuses her of lying. “Whose side are you on?”

Adam gets in Riza’s face, and she reminds him that he’s the one who broke her trust and lied to her. Adam asks again if she’s helping Matt. Nick emerges. He wouldn’t mind hearing the answer to that himself. When she tries to leave, Adam shouts at her to stop the BS or they’ll make her life extremely uncomfortable.

The Final Scenes

At Society, Claire teases Holden about his mom wanting him to find the right girl and settle down. They agree neither of them is ready for that. She muses that when things are in sync, you just know. He agrees, gazing at her.

At the café, Stephanie tells Lily that Cane is helping Malcolm for one person. “You.”

In the Vegas suite, Riza tells Adam if he wants her to show her cards, he has to put something up first. Telling them anything risks her business and her life. Nick promises she’ll be safe. They agree to help her relocate and change her name… and price.

Noah and Sharon arrive at an abandoned gas station and get a bad vibe. They’ve no cell service and contemplate going inside. Suddenly, Matt Clark slips into the back seat. He’s so happy to see them. “Welcome to hell.”
