Nick is Pumped as Adam Scores a Mystery Meet with Matt — Plus, Lily and Phyllis Shred Each Other

In his Las Vegas hotel room, Nick chokes down some pills before answering a call from Sharon and Chelsea. He assures them that Adam is doing a great job. He’s on the road to getting at whatever Riza knows about Matt. When he admits that Adam impressed him with his gambling skills, Chelsea can’t hide how worried she is that he could relapse to his dark side. Nick tries to assure her that it won’t happen.

The women become increasingly concerned by how strange Nick sounds. He claims he’s just tired and wants this to end. When Chelsea asks for a timeline, he’s vague and passes out for a few seconds. When he snaps out of it after snoring into the phone, he says he needs to wait for a call from his brother and abruptly hangs up. After banging back a soft drink, he passes out.

Adam Asks to Meet Riza’s Partner

Once Adam and Riza take a break from their kiss, he wonders if that was a reward for him proving himself. He hopes she’s ready to take a chance and work together again. When she mentions her partner, Adam is eager to meet the guy so he knows who he is dealing with. As much as Riza wants Adam to stick around, she suspects that he could be bluffing her. Adam insists he only wants to build a bankroll.

Fading Nick Needs to Freshen

Adam returns to his suite and finds Nick passed out. Groggy Nick stumbles off the couch. His brother urges him to rest, but Nick is eager for action. He claims he’s exhausted from the gym and stumbles off to the bathroom to freshen up.

Even Chelsea Notices Nick is Off

When Victoria stops by Crimson Lights, she chats with Sharon and Chelsea about her visit with Summer and the plot to take Phyllis down. With daddy’s help, she’s determined to knock her off her “fairy tale throne.”

Once Victoria exits, Chelsea mentions how strange Nick seemed. That went over Sharon’s head. She’s confident he’s just powering through to protect everyone.

Lily and Phyllis Feud

Lily fails to avoid Phyllis at the Athletic Club. The redhead starts taunting her about betraying her family, mocking her for taking revenge on Cane just because he loves her. She’s sure that no one in Lily’s family will forgive her after the torture she’s made them endure. Each of them throws betraying Cane in the other’s face. When Phyllis brags about their connection in the bedroom and boardroom and accuses Lily of jealousy, Lily says she’s amazed by how low she can sink.

Once Phyllis pokes about the deal she made with Victor, Lily warns that she should be more afraid of what he will do to her. You can’t take the company he built and not expect him to come after you. Phyllis claims she’s not afraid. As she brags about “Summer Congolmerate,” Lily bursts out laughing at the stupid name. Rubbing it in her face, Lily taunts that Phyllis will be begging Cane for help in a few weeks because she’s too incompetent to run a corporation.

The Final Scenes

Back at the Athletic Club, Phyllis continues to fight off Lily, who has been joined by Victoria. Phyllis accuses them of going along with “diabolical” Victor and says they’ve done even worse than Cane. They remind her she’s lost her children, for good this time, and it will have all been for nothing. Victoria pushes her to escape her mess before it’s too late. Lily adds it’s no victory if you end up alone.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea worries to Sharon that Adam could sink into the man he used to be. Sharon is confident that his love for his family will keep him strong. Adam knows that Chelsea is his destiny. “We have so much more we could lose now,” Chelsea admits.

In their Vegas suite, Nick pulls himself together in the bathroom with a little help from some drugs. He returns to Adam, who explains he’s close to a deal with Riza. All he needs is her partner’s approval. They assume that’s Matt and Adam urges his brother to rein it in. “I’m ready!” Nick grunts, pumping his fist.

Matt arrives in Riza’s suite and admires how well her partner cleaned up. She says her old partner can make them a lot of money. Matt likes money, so he asks her to set up a private meeting.
