The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may undergo a bit of a character transformation in the months ahead.

Phyllis’ life is going to change in some big ways thanks to a pivotal decision.

In the June 4 episode, Phyllis finally worked out a deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to surrender Newman Enterprises.

In exchange, Victor agreed to prove the evidence against Phyllis was fabricated so Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) would drop the charges against her.

This Newman takeover story is finally done, but what does that mean for Phyllis?

Since Phyllis has been obsessing over the Newman throne for what feels like forever, she’s headed for a tough adjustment period.

Phyllis will struggle after losing to Victor and feeling like she has nothing to show for all the drama she went through.

However, this is an opportunity for Phyllis to reinvent herself and head down a different path.

Naturally, Phyllis is still going to be Phyllis!

There’s no containing Phyllis’ bold personality, but she could undergo some character shifts now that all the whole Summers Conglomerate mess is over.

1) Phyllis makes amends with Summer and Daniel

Since Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) have wanted Phyllis to give Newman back for so long, they’ll be pleased over the news that she finally transferred ownership back to Victor.

That doesn’t mean Phyllis’ relationship with Daniel and Summer will magically be fixed, but it’ll be a step forward for them all.

It’ll take some work to rebuild what’s been broken, but Phyllis will no doubt make amends with Summer and Daniel sooner or later.

2) Phyllis finds a new career path

Of course, Phyllis will have to find another career path now that she’s no longer running Summers Conglomerate.

Anything else will be a step down in Phyllis’ eyes, but there must be some job out there that’ll eventually be the right fit for her.

3) Phyllis’ complicated love story

This may also serve as a good time for Phyllis to get a proper love story and explore real feelings for someone.

Y&R seems to be teasing Phyllis and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) as a new pairing, but that could stir up more trouble for Phyllis.

There’ll be plenty of naysayers when it comes to Matt’s redemption and whether he can truly turn from his wicked ways.

Phyllis will be signing up for a complicated romance if she starts dating Matt at some point.

Whatever progress Phyllis makes with her kids could be in jeopardy if they disapprove of her falling for Matt, so we’ll see how things play out for Phyllis down the road.
