The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane’s a Bone Marrow Match, Saves Malcolm?

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that as Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) searches for a bone marrow match to help cure his aplastic anemia, will Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) be the one to save the day?

Malcolm is currently trying to beat the clock and find a relative who is a viable donor for his bone marrow transplant.

He initially approached his biological daughter, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil); however, the two soon learned that she could not donate her bone marrow due to her past cancer condition and chemotherapy.

Desperate times led to desperate actions, and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), who is Malcolm’s doctor and was once his girlfriend, ended up revealing that they had a son together.

Fans were shocked to learn that Holden’s mom was Stephanie, a past Genoa City resident, circa the 1990s, and his world flipped upside down when he found Malcolm, not Jerry Novak (uncast), was his father.

Holden got tested, but the major plot twist here was that he was not a bone marrow match for Malcolm.

While the truth is out about Holden’s paternity and he now knows Lily is his sister, this doesn’t quite help Malcolm’s situation.

With that said, Malcolm still has two potential donors in Lily’s kids – his grandkids.

Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) fueled his private jet and lent it to Malcolm so that his uncle could head to Los Angeles.

There, Charlie Ashby (last played by Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie Ashby (last played by Lexi Stevenson) are set to get tested to see if they could be possible bone marrow donors.

There’s been some talk of “what to do next” if Mattie and Charlie can’t donate their bone marrow.

Lily will likely issue a call to action and see if friends and family can get tested, so it’s not hard to see where this could be going.

Lily and the rest of the Winters clan have a huge animosity toward Cane. His “Aristotle Dumas” persona rubbed them all the wrong way, and his return to Genoa City was frowned upon.

While Lily has feelings for Cane, both of them have pulled moves that have halted a possible romance.

In addition, during the Tuesday, April 14 episode, Cane had a confrontation with Holden, which was far different from any other in the past.

Holden wasn’t as “people pleasing” as he usually is with Cane, as the mogul was digging for information on why Lily was so upset.

Holden reluctantly succumbed and told Cane about Malcolm and his new family roots, but not before reminding him that he was the reason that his ex-best friend, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), met his demise in France this past summer.

It seems everyone is on the “I hate Cane” train right now, so wouldn’t it be interesting if Cane got tested and ended up being a match?

Even Malcolm had an exchange with Cane upon his return to GC the week of April 6-10, so the man may eat his words if Cane is his only donor option.

Plus, as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is a close friend of Malcolm’s, she’ll be over the moon if she knows Cane can save the man’s life.

This is a perfect way for Cane to redeem himself to those whom he loves and respects the most in the little town.

The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that the CBS soap loves situations like this, and Cane saving Malcolm’s life might be the hall pass Lily needs to hop into a romantic reunion with her ex.
